Partially housed motors combine an MCS frameless motor with a machined housing
or cooling jacket around the stator. Generally, this housing is used to
assist in mounting the stator to your machine, or to provide higher-power
operation by cooling via air convection or water flow.
A partial housing has several advantages:
- Provides greater flexibility in stator mounting options
- Allows for higher-power operation with cooling fins or channels for liquid coolant
- Simplifies lifting, handling and installation, especially for larger motors
- MCS has a complete in-house machine shop capable of making housings for our entire range of frameless motors.
